NJIT swept visiting Saint Francis U, 3-0, in men's volleyball non-conference action inside the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center Saturday evening. NJIT won in straight sets – 25-21, 25-22 and 25-23 to earn the Highlanders its third straight win of the season and improving to 3-2 overall. Saint Francis U moves to 1-6 on the year.

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) will host a pivotal forum March 19, where gubernatorial candidates will outline their visions for the future of New Jersey’s diverse business community. Presented by the New Jersey Diverse Business Advisory Council (NJDBAC) and other state business organizations, the event will bring together industry leaders, policymakers and stakeholders at NJIT’s Newark campus.

The American Astronomical Society (AAS) has named Dale Gary, distinguished professor of physics at NJIT’s Center for Solar-Terrestrial Research (CSTR), one of 24 new AAS Fellows for 2025. The Society annually honors the most distinguished members from its global community of over 8,000 astronomers, recognizing extraordinary achievements and service in the astronomical sciences.

Tariq Francis posted a stellar all-around performance, tallying 19 points, eight assists, five rebounds and three steals as NJIT earned its first America East victory of the season with a 64-59 win over New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon.

In modern software, the train of security vulnerabilities is headed full-steam at the artificial intelligence track, while experts from NJIT, Rutgers University and Temple University are developing new educational materials intended to prevent a collision.

Amirarsalan Moatazedian has been a Ph.D. student in electrical engineering at NJIT since Fall 2024. He is advised by Dr. Joerg Kliewer and his research interests include information theory, generative adversarial networks and privacy preserving encoding. Before he entered his current Ph.D. program, he was a Ph.D. student at Villanova University in Pennsylvania for one academic year, and before that, a Ph.D. student at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for one semester. He completed my M.Sc. in electrical engineering (Telecommunications) in Germany in 2020 and he completed my B.Sc.

Rising junior Alejandra Zuniga scored a game-best 29 points leading the Highlanders to a 72-54 home victory over visiting UMass Lowell in America East Conference women's basketball action inside the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center Saturday afternoon.  NJIT, winners of four straight, improved to 6-10 overall and remain perfect in America East with a 3-0 mark.

Sebastian Robinson flirted with a triple-double with 12 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds and Quentin Duncan dropped 26 points in his collegiate debut as the NJIT men's basketball team defeated Medgar Evers, 107-51, on Saturday afternoon.
