El Consejo de Liderazgo Hispano y Latinx de NJIT otorga primeras becas

El Consejo de Liderazgo Hispano y Latinx (con siglas en inglés HLLC) organizó el primer Café y Conexiones de este año académico para poner en marcha las celebraciones del Mes de la Herencia Hispana en NJIT. Inaugurado en enero de 2022, Café y Conexiones reúne a los estudiantes hispanos y latinx de NJIT con miembros del HLLC, exalumnos y líderes empresariales y cívicos en las comunidades hispanas y latinx de manera regular durante el año académico.

NJIT Researchers Unlock a New Method for Testing Protein-Based Drugs

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) researchers have unveiled a new lab technique they say represents a “paradigm shift” in how pharmaceutical laboratories test and produce new protein-based drugs, such as therapeutic monoclonal antibodies being developed to treat a variety of diseases, from cancers to infectious diseases.

John Gruppo Representing NJIT to Higher Ed Biz Management Organization

It's common for the best NJIT students and faculty to receive accolades in their fields, but the latest recognition for Highlander success was awarded to a university finance leader. The honor went to John Gruppo, director of budget planning and analysis, for his selection into the Emerging Leaders Program of the National Association of College and University Business Officers, or NACUBO.

Cross Country Teams Record Top Ten Finishes At Ted Owen Invitational

The NJIT men's and women's cross country teams returned to action after a two week layoff to compete at Central Connecticut State's annual Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park. Men's Tennis Wraps Up Outstanding Opening Weekend with Several Championship Victories

The NJIT men's tennis team kicked off its Fall 2022 schedule in style this weekend, winning several championships at the St. Joes Invitational, which took place from Friday through Sunday on the campus of St. Joseph's University. "What an incredible weekend of tennis!" exclaimed second-year Head Coach Marco Matteucci. "I'm so proud of everyone's effort this weekend and I really feel like we earned every win."

Women's Volleyball Dominates Hartford for Second-Straight Victory

The NJIT women's volleyball team won its second-straight match on Friday evening, defeating Hartford to improve to 3-1 at the Wellness and Events Center this season.  After needing five sets to defeat Iona on Wednesday, the Highlanders dominated from start to finish against Hartford to win in three sets and give them their first back-to-back wins since 2018.

Johmary Adames, estudiante de diseño industrial en el Hillier College of Architecture and Design, está entusiasmada por el nuevo semestre que se avecina. NJIT, Ben-Gurion University Unveil Home of Institute for Future Technologies

New Jersey Institute of Technology and Israel's Ben-Gurion University of the Negev officially opened a research center, the Institute for Future Technologies, located in the NJIT @JerseyCity satellite location. Although the Institute and research there began last year, the opening ceremony only happened now due to pandemic-related delays.

NJIT's Hispanic and Latinx Leadership Council Gives First-Ever Scholarships

The Hispanic and Latinx Leadership Council (HLLC) held Café y Conexiones to kick off this year’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations at NJIT.  Launched in January 2022, Café y Conexiones brings together NJIT’s Hispanic and Latinx students with HLLC members, alumni, and business and civic leaders in the Hispanic and Latinx communities on a regular basis during the academic year.

Ying Wu College of Computing Shatters Enrollment Records in Fall 2022

Ying Wu College of Computing (YWCC) continues its upward trajectory as an NJIT enrollment leader, achieving a 17% increase relative to last year for a total of almost 4,100 students enrolled for the Fall 2022 semester. As such, YWCC now represents 34% of the entire NJIT student body for the new academic year. Close to 23% of YWCC students are women, up from 21% two years ago.

Johmary Adames Discovers a New Side of Art & Design at NJIT

Johmary Adames, an industrial design major at New Jersey Institute of Technology’s Hillier College of Architecture and Design, is excited for the new semester. After participating in the Highlander Foundry program over the summer where she experienced entrepreneurship first-hand, she feels empowered to one day use her design knowledge in a company of her own.

NJIT Women's Volleyball Splits Saturday Matches to Finish Weekend 2-1

The NJIT women's volleyball team won its second match in as many days on Saturday, defeating Saint Peter's in straight sets after suffering a four-set loss to host Providence earlier in the afternoon at Alumni Hall. The victory over the Peacocks was the Highlanders' second in as many days and third of the season after finishing the 2021 campaign with two wins.

Own Goal Lifts NJIT Men's Soccer Win at La Salle

New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has continued its climb up the annual U.S. News & World Report rankings of colleges and universities by breaking into the top 100 National Universities for 2023. Now ranked No. 97 in the nation, NJIT has risen 21 places in the last two years.

Xueyu Hou - ECE PhD Student of the Month - September 2022

Xueyu Hou a Ph.D. student in Electrical Engineering at NJIT, advised by Dr. Tao Han. Her research interests include deep Learning acceleration in mobile and edge computing, security of machine learning, distributed machine learning on edge, mixed reality, and live volumetric streaming. Before her current Ph.D. program, she was in power electronics area where she did research on power semiconductors and microgrids.
