NJIT Awarded NSF Grant to Open Undergrad Space Weather Research Program
With a new grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), NJIT’s internationally-recognized Institute for Space Weather Sciences (ISWS) will now host a Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) program site — offering unique summer research opportunities for students in the dynamic field of space weather science.
The new 10-week space weather research program is expected to enroll eight undergraduates annually throughout the summers of 2022-2024.

New Jersey Institute of Technology is among the Best Global Universities identified by U.S. News and World Report in its eighth edition of the annual ranking.
Only 271 U.S. universities made the 2022 list, which spans 91 countries in six continents. Globally, NJIT ranked in the top half of some 1,750 colleges. Just seven New Jersey schools earned the recognition, which stems from research output and reputation.

NJIT Tops NJ Public Universities for Early-Career Salaries, Ranks 14 Nationwide
New Jersey Institute of Technology ranked No. 1 in New Jersey and 14th nationally among public schools for early-career salaries, with young alumni bringing home just under $125,000 on average against just $7,600 in average debt, according to Forbes 2021 Top Colleges ranking.
Statewide, only private schools with higher tuition ranked above NJIT for early career salaries. In overall rankings, NJIT is No. 89 among public colleges nationwide, Forbes stated.

It wasn’t more than a few months after she graduated with a biology degree in May of 2016 that NJIT alumna Pamela Carman swapped the university’s labs and lecture halls for a classroom all her own, just minutes from campus at Newark’s East Side High School.
