Update on Spring Semester
Dear Highlanders, We are looking forward to welcoming members of our campus community back to NJIT for the spring 2021 semester and building on the success of our Pandemic Recovery Plan implementation. Because of your cooperation and adherence to protocols throughout the fall semester, NJIT was able to execute its plan for converged learning with in-person instruction, restarted scholarly research activities, provided support services to students, and hosted a significant residential population.

Dear NJIT Community Members, NJIT is proud to celebrate Black History Month, because our university’s diversity is among its greatest strengths. As we celebrate, we continue to learn, share and declare our support for our Black colleagues. We must be allies of those who continue to be victims of racial discrimination, and we must celebrate Black culture and work diligently to eradicate bigotry.

NJIT Theater Debuts Zoom-Based Reboot of 15th Century Play 'Everyman'
The Rutgers-NJIT Theatre Program is taking the classic late-medieval period morality play, Everyman, into the digital age. The cast and crew have recently debuted their spin on the original for online streamers — titled Every_01: A Morality Play — where audiences follow the protagonist as they contemplate all the good and bad deeds they’ve done throughout their life while visiting with personifications of ideas like Death, Good Deeds, Knowledge and Friendship.

Luca Berger Selected Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week
Graduate student Luca Berger has been selected Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week the organization announced on Tuesday. This is the second career honor for the Highlanders middle blocker. Berger helped lead the Highlanders to a series sweep of Saint Francis U on Thursday and Friday at NJIT's Wellness and Events Center in Newark.

Men's Volleyball Checks in at No. 12 in Week Six NVA/AVCA Coaches Poll
The NJIT men's volleyball program checked in at No. 12 in the recent National Volleyball Association (NVA)/American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division I-II Men's Coaches top-15 poll the organization announced on Monday. Previously ranked No. 14, the Highlanders moved up two spots after a weekend series sweep against Saint Francis U this past weekend, picking up a pair of 3-0 victories.

NJIT Sweeps Two-Match Series at Charleston (WV)
The NJIT men's volleyball team swept a two-match EIVA Conference men's volleyball series this weekend at Charleston (WV) with a 3-1 victory over the Golden Eagles Saturday afternoon. With the win, NJIT has won the last five out of six matches, moved to 5-1 in the EIVA and have won three consecutive matches, improving to 5-3 overall. The Golden Eagles stand at 2-4 overall and 2-4 in the EIVA.

Reifschneider, Ocampo Lead Women's Soccer To 3-1 Win Over Drexel
The NJIT women's soccer team kicked off the 2020 season in emphatic fashion, defeating the Drexel Dragons 3-1 Sunday afternoon at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium. The veteran-laden Highlanders (1-0) got surprising contributions from a pair of their freshmen en route to the program's first season opening victory since posting a 3-0 shutout against Wagner Aug. 19, 2016.
