Personnel Cost Saving Announcement
Dear Colleagues,
June 12, 2020
NJIT Pandemic Recovery Update - June 2020
NJIT Students, Parents, Faculty and Staff, I write today to provide further details regarding the Pandemic Recovery Plan we first shared on May 5, 2020, and updated on May 22, 2020. NJIT plans to begin welcoming faculty, staff and some students back to our campus throughout the Summer and, as we have stated in prior communications, to broadly implement a converged learning model that will enable us to offer in-person classes once the Fall semester begins on September 1, 2020.

Independence Day Message from NJIT President Bloom
Dear NJIT Community Members, I write today to wish you a happy and healthy Independence Day weekend. This is a time traditionally reserved for congregating and celebrating, for vacations and trips to the shore, for parades and backyard bar-b-ques. While many of those joyous activities are unavailable at the present time, my hope is that you find time to relax, enjoy Mother Nature, and see loved ones this weekend in a safe and responsible manner.

Welcome Back From President Bloom
NJIT Community Members,
September 11, 2020
Message from President Bloom: 9/11 Remembrance
NJIT Community Members, Today is a solemn date when we honor the lives and memories of the thousands who perished on September 11, 2001, in hijacked airplanes that crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City; the Pentagon in Washington, DC; and a field in rural Pennsylvania, thanks to the heroic efforts of passengers who prevented that last plane from reaching its intended target, the United States Capitol building.

Hispanic Heritage Month
Dear NJIT Community Members, NJIT is proud to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month this October, and we recognize that diversity is among our university’s greatest strengths. It is a key component of learning and innovation, because hearing the perspectives of those with varied backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences informs our thinking and yields improved results.

A Loss in Our Community
Dear NJIT Colleagues: It is with great sadness that I share the loss of Maria Thérèse Nakhle-Deek, beloved mother of NJIT Senior Executive Vice President and Provost Fadi P. Deek `85, `86, `97. Warm Holiday Wishes from President Joel and Dr. Diane Bloom
Season's Greetings! This may not be a traditional holiday season, but it remains a time to appreciate those things that bring true meaning to our lives — friends and loved ones, acts of caring for and supporting one another, and opportunities to positively affect the society and world in which we live. We are fortunate, at NJIT, to be part of a special community that has met the challenges of 2020 with courage, creativity and determination.

Attack on United States Capitol - Message from President Bloom
Dear NJIT Community Members, I am both deeply saddened and gravely concerned by the actions of a violent mob attacking the United States Capitol today, as well as the deterioration of civility that has led to this moment. Today's riotous and noxious behavior, built on lies, divisiveness, and hate, requires each of us to be outpsoken as U.S. citizens strongly condeming the rhetoric and behavior that has led to today's attack and its stain on our constitution and democracy.
