Wall Street Journal/College Pulse: NJIT Top 50 in US for Alumni Salaries, Social Mobility, Value
New Jersey Institute of Technology ranks in the top 50 in three key metrics among the public and private schools selected for the Wall Street Journal/College Pulse 2025 list of the Best Colleges in the U.S. NJIT ranks No. 26 nationally in Best Salaries, No. 30 in Social Mobility and No. 50 in Best Value. In addition, in its peer group of public universities, NJIT is No. 48 in the U.S. The numbers underscore NJIT’s standing as a leading national polytechnic.

Women's Soccer Earns Fourth-Straight Clean Sheet With 3-0 Win Against Rider
Ciara Adams recorded five points with two goals and an assist, leading the NJIT women's soccer team (3-1-1) to a 3-0 victory against Rider (1-3-1) on Sunday afternoon at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium. The Highlanders earned their fourth straight shutout with the win.

Aseel Zenati - ECE PhD Student of the Month - September 2024
Aseel Zeinati is a second-year Ph.D. student advised by Professor Misra at the VLSI lab. Her research is centered on characterizing the next generation of non-volatile memory, such as resistive random access-memory (RRAM), for in-memory and neuromorphic computing, with the goal of replacing the conventional computing systems in use today. She attends several ECS (Electrochemical Society) conferences. As a mother of two children, she is also a talented storyteller, a skill that has honed her ability to break down complex concepts into easily understandable information.

Researchers Customizing Power Grid Fault Detection for Solar and Wind
If predictions come true that renewable energy sources like solar panels and wind generators are the primary suppliers of tomorrow’s power grids, then the engineers maintaining those grids will need new innovations in fault detection, made possible by researchers like NJIT Associate Professor Joshua Taylor. The problem is that traditional power grids use fault detection methods designed for what’s called synchronous generation, as with gas power plants, and those methods work poorly for inverter-based generation found in renewable systems.

NJIT Center for Building Knowledge Partners with the Newark Public School District
One critical component of delivering quality education is the provision of optimal spaces for student learning. In July of 2024, Terra Meierdierck, energy and education program manager at the Center for Building Knowledge (CBK), a research center at NJIT's Hillier College of Architecture and Design, was granted a fourth award for work with the Newark Board of Education (BOE) to support the public school district's assessment of their facilities.

Princeton Review Names NJIT a Best College for 33rd Straight Year
New Jersey Institute of Technology has maintained its remarkable run in The Princeton Review’s annual guide to the best universities and colleges in the United States. For the 33rd straight year, NJIT is featured in the guide, which is based on surveys of some 168,000 students. Just 15% of the nation’s four-year institutions made The Best 390 Colleges for 2025. Each is listed alphabetically.

Mikayla Balio scored the first NJIT goal of the season in the 52nd minute, leading the NJIT women's soccer team (1-1-1) to a 1-0 victory against Mount St. Mary's (2-1-0) on Sunday afternoon at Waldron Family Stadium.

Junior Sergio Martinez Cubel has been selected America East Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week the league office announced on Monday. The 5-foot-8 midfielder from Sedavi, Spain, tabbed his first career America East Conference weekly honor.

Trang Dang Wins Murray Center's Anne Wiley Scholarship
Trang Dang, a senior computer science major in the Ying Wu College of Computing, has been awarded the 2024 Anne Wiley Scholarship by NJIT’s Murray Center for Women in Technology. The award is given through nomination by deans or department chairs for exemplary service in support of advancing the representation of women in STEM fields. Throughout her time at NJIT, Dang sought to use the opportunities afforded to her to find her fit and pursue a personal and professional career trajectory that would match an aptitude for excellence with a passion for making a difference.

'Workforce Ready' NJIT Engineering Student's Summer Internship Fits to a Tea
Industrial engineering student Bianca Hernandez wrapped up her internship at AriZona Beverage Co., putting forth all the skills and knowledge she has acquired at NJIT. “Since being there, it's been a really great experience,” said Hernandez, who minors in safety engineering. “Everyone was very welcoming, and this may seem very rare in terms of internships, but the people that I work with daily, they view me more as a coworker rather than an intern.

227 Highlanders Named to America East Academic Honor Roll
An impressive 227 NJIT student-athletes who competed during the 2023-24 school year earned America East Academic Honor Roll recognition, the conference announced on Friday. The Highlanders had 21 more student-athletes earn this honor compared to 2023. Student-athletes from the men's and women's soccer teams, men's and women's basketball teams, women's volleyball, baseball, men's lacrosse, men's and women's track and field/cross country, and men's swimming and diving teams who posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher were named to the America East Academic Honor Roll.

New Jersey Institute of Technology has been awarded on the Forbes list of America’s Best-In-State Employers 2024. This accolade is presented by Forbes and Statista Inc., the leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider. America's Best-In-State Employers 2024 have been identified in an independent survey from a vast sample of over 160,000 employees working for companies employing at least 500 people within the U.S. The ranking is open to companies from all industry sectors.
