Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) and NJIT are now partners in education. The institutions signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU), as well as two other agreements involving NJIT’s Martin Tuchman School of Management (MTSM), Oct. 25 in Beijing. Joel S. Bloom, NJIT president, and Jianyong Qiao, BUPT president, represented their respective universities, along with faculty and staff, at the signing.

Highlanders Take a Trip to the Federal Reserve
As the state of our economy receives greater and greater attention, last week a group of Martin Tuchman School of Management (MTSM) business students were given the opportunity to leave their classrooms and see things for themselves at the New York Federal Reserve in New York City. Organized by Zhipeng Yan, corporate finance professor and associate dean, and accompanied by Oya I. Tukel, MTSM dean, the trip brought business students to the financial capital of the world, where they enjoyed an inside look at the gold vaults hidden some 80 feet beneath its busy streets.
Management School Heads to France for Spring Break Study Abroad
Building on last year’s fruitful trip to Germany, NJIT’s Martin Tuchman School of Management (MTSM), in collaboration with the university’s Office of Global Initiatives, is again offering a faculty-led study abroad trip during Spring Break — this time to Lyon, France, in March 2020. Students will learn about international marketing principles through visits with French companies, including JP Riviere Winery and Groupe SEB, and lectures at ESDES, the business school of UCLy — Lyon Catholic University.

LIXIN Faculty Visit Martin Tuchman School of Management
Twenty faculty members from Shanghai LIXIN University of Accounting and Finance (LIXIN) visited Martin Tuchman School of Management (MTSM) this past August and attended a two-week executive training program, “Training on Integrating Blockchain Education and Flipped Courses Into Teaching in the Areas of Finance and Accounting.” During their visit, LIXIN professors were able to engage in Blockchain and design thinking as part of the IBM Skills Academy program.
