New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) is launching a new, $10+ million initiative that will significantly advance the university’s strength in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and position NJIT to become a leader in both AI research and application in higher education. This augments already significant existing academic and research activity in AI and related programs. In 2023 alone, NJIT research related to AI totaled nearly $60 million.

NJIT men's swimming and diving incoming freshman Ilias El Fallaki will represent Morocco at the upcoming 2024 Summer Olympic Games.
El Fallaki, who will attend NJIT this fall in the Martin Tuchman School of Management, will compete in the men's 400m freestyle Saturday, July 27.
Hailing from Seville, Spain, El Fallaki made his international debut competing at the World Junior Championships in September 2023 in Israel and World Aquatic Championships in February 2024, where he set the Moroccan national record in 800m freestyle.
