NJIT No. 27 in Princeton Review's Best Value List, 5th Year in Top 50
Tuesday, June 24, 2025
For the fifth straight year, New Jersey Institute of Technology is a Top 50 Best Value College in The Princeton Review’s annual ranking of public institutions. At No. 27, NJIT is the only university in New Jersey included in the Top 50 Public School ranking. The university has been a staple of The Princeton Review’s broader list of Best Value Colleges since its inception in 2018. That too is a highly selective list: less than a third of the universities and colleges that the review considered made the cut this year. In addition, NJIT is now top 10 on The Princeton Review’s list of the...

They’re problem-solvers. They’re innovators. They’re people who roll up their sleeves and get things done. And they’re the ones we need at the table solving our country’s problems.” “Your STEM education from this terrific...
NJIT Scholar, Intern and Volleyball Captain Pursues Master's in Finance at Baruch
Tuesday, May 20, 2025
Alessandro Negri’s road to business came through volleyball. When he arrived at New Jersey Institute of Technology in January 2022, he planned to major in biology. But two teammates on the volleyball team, Joseph Kennedy and Martin de Chavarria, shared their textbooks on finance and economics and Negri was intrigued. “I quickly became fascinated by how finance connects to real-world issues. It gave me the framework to understand the bigger picture,” said Negri, a member of NJIT’s Class of 2025 who switched to study business with a concentration in finance and now will pursue a master’s...

Monday, May 19, 2025
Time management and discipline were key to Arina Babkova’s success as a graduate student at New Jersey Institute of Technology. Why? Because she completed her master’s in management at NJIT’s Martin Tuchman School of Management in two semesters while playing Division I tennis at a high level in the spring and fall. Her mentors were impressed. “Arina was a student in both my FinTech and Advanced Financial Data Analytics courses and she consistently stood out for her intellectual curiosity and engagement,” said Assistant Professor Ajim Uddin. “She maintained strong focus to the course...

New Jersey Institute of Technology served up a full day of fanfare as its advanced degree graduates walked across the stage in the Bloom Wellness and Events Center in three commencement ceremonies. The 2025 master’s and doctoral class exemplifies the institution’s commitment to research and scholarship across a diverse range of disciplines. Thursday, May 15, 2025
by Briana Foxx and Evan Koblentz Cedric Alam, a senior business major concentrating in finance, will start his career this summer in the financial management analysis program at Bank of America’s headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. Alam discovered NJIT after moving to Colts Neck from his native Lebanon as a child. His father was a frequent business traveler and instilled the importance of both technology and proximity to New York — so NJIT and specifically Martin Tuchman School of Management was his first choice for college. His brother and several cousins go here, too. “The way...

His choice of graduate school also reveals his love for tennis, as UF won a national team championship in 2021 when now 13th ranked pro Ben Shelton played there. You see, Perez Ramos, who tallied an impressive 73-21 record in singles matches as a Highlander, will continue to compete as a Gator. So, as he bolsters his academic credentials, he’ll chase his dream of becoming a top 100 player in the world. “Florida...
