NJIT Named a 2017 Top Online College for Women in STEM
SR Education Group, a leading education research publisher founded in 2004, has released its findings regarding online colleges and their support for women in STEM fields of study. Of 285 colleges considered, NJIT was named one of 64 colleges offering fully online degrees and providing exceptional support.
NJIT Included in 2018 'Fiske Guide to Colleges'
NJIT, one of the few public polytechnic institutes in the Northeast, is once again included in the latest edition of the Fiske Guide to Colleges – a subjective and selective reference tool that systematically reviews over 300 colleges in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. For more than 30 years, millions of students, parents and guidance counselors have relied on the Fiske Guide to Colleges to present the best and most interesting schools during their college search. The guide features select colleges based on a broad range of subjects, including student body, academics, social life, financial aid, campus setting, housing, food and extracurricular activities.
NJIT Named One of 'The Princeton Review's' Best 384 Colleges for 2019
New Jersey Institute of Technology has been named a top college according to The Princeton Review in the newest edition of its college guide, "The Best 384 Colleges." NJIT also received honors as a top college in the Northeast region.
NJIT Among the 'Best' in 'MONEY Magazine' Rating of Colleges Nationwide
MONEY Magazine has recently named NJIT as one of the best colleges in America. In building the rankings, MONEY focused on three basic factors that surveys show are the most important to students: quality of education, affordability and alumni outcomes. The rankings analyzed data points, such as graduation rates, tuition charges, family borrowing and alumni earnings (plus 22 additional data points) to find the country’s top values.
NJIT, Penn College Awarded $8M to Develop Manufacturing Apprenticeship Programs
The U.S. Department of Labor has awarded a $7,996,530 grant to New Jersey Institute of Technology and Pennsylvania College of Technology to develop industry-driven strategies for apprenticeships in advanced manufacturing fields. The funding is part of the U.S. Department of Labor's awarding of $183.8 million in grants to 23 academic institutions and consortia nationwide. The ultimate aim is to satisfy industry's enormous demand for trained American workers.
NJIT Ranks in Top 2% Nationwide in College Salary Report by Payscale
Payscale has released its 2019 College Salary Report and New Jersey Institute of Technology has placed #53 out of over 4,000 colleges and universities across the U.S. in the mid-career salary rankings. In addition, NJIT is #1 for state schools in mid-career salary. NJIT is also #35 on the Payscale Return on Investment (ROI) list. The ROI report measures the return on tuition investment 20 years after graduation, and provides median earnings data of workers who attended college based on where their household fell in the income distribution when they attended college.
