NJIT Ranks in Top 2% Nationwide in College Salary Report by Payscale
Payscale has released its 2019 College Salary Report and New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has placed #53 out of over 4,000 colleges and universities across the U.S. in the mid-career salary rankings. In addition, NJIT is #1 for state schools in mid-career salary.
“NJIT students are in high demand and our alumni enjoy remarkable success, because we specialize in preparing graduates to thrive in what is unquestionable a tech economy,” said NJIT President Joel S. Bloom. “Every major global industry, at its core, is driven by technological advancement. That’s why our students average three job offers prior to graduation and why they continue to enjoy great opportunities throughout their careers.”
Going further, NJIT ranks even higher in the engineering category. In a nationwide survey of both public and private institutions, NJIT is #21 nationally in mid-career pay at nearly $130,000 and #2 in the state. When compared to only public schools, NJIT is #7 in the country, and #1 in New Jersey.
NJIT is also #35 on the Payscale Return on Investment (ROI) list. The ROI report measures the return on tuition investment 20 years after graduation, provides median earnings data of workers who attended college based on where their household fell in the income distribution when they attended college.
