New Jersey Institute of Technology President-Elect Teik C. Lim will talk about innovation at the next annual meeting of the National Academy of Inventors. The America East Conference has announced that 12 student-athletes from NJIT have been named America East Presidential Scholar-Athletes for their outstanding academic achievements throughout their entire career, the league office announced Thursday. The award recognizes graduating student-athletes who compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher as an undergraduate student and earned their undergraduate this spring.

The NJIT men's basketball team will have a new look in 2022-23 and Head Coach Brian Kennedy has announced he program's first newcomer, Paul McMillian IV. McMillan IV is the highest ranked recruit in program history as the standout is ranked 123rd on the Rivals Top 150 and recently took home Gatorade State Player of the Year honors in his home state of Ohio.

Computer science undergraduates Alfred Simpson and Luis Velasquez each received $5,000 scholarships this spring from the New Jersey chapter of the Society for Information Management. The society is a professional organization for information technology executives. Scholarships are provided by the state chapter's charitable foundation.
