NJIT left-handed pitcher Holden deJong has been selected by the Baltimore Orioles in the 11th round of the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft Monday afternoon. DeJong, drafted by the Orioles in the 11th round, 334th overall, is the highest-drafted Highlander to date.

NJIT women's soccer head coach Ally Nick has announced the team's 2025 schedule, which features 18 regular season matches, including ten contests at Lubetkin Field at Mal Simon Stadium. "Last season didn't go the way we wanted, but that chapter is closed," Nick said. "With new opponents on the schedule and a fresh mindset, we're coming back hungry, focused, and ready to prove exactly who we are." The Highlanders will open their season on Aug. 14, facing Rutgers for the second consecutive year. Rutgers competed in the NCAA Tournament last season.
