Eight faculty members in the Ying Wu College of Computing (YWCC) have received grant support to fund nine research projects as part of the Grace Hopper Artificial Intelligence Institute at NJIT (GHRI). The Institute was launched through a $6 million investment by an anonymous donor and matching funds in collaboration with the university’s $10 million AI@NJIT initiative. Alexander Chen, a sophomore at Morris Hill High School, and Assistant Professor Tomer Weiss in the Ying Wu College of Computing’s (YWCC) Department of Informatics will present their research at the 2025 ACM SIGGRAPH conference (Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques), August 10-14 in Vancouver, BC, Canada.
