NJIT's Education Day at Men's Basketball Featured in ASUN Beam Video Series

In the third year of the ASUN Beam Video Series, the conference features student-athletes across the league that have embodied the four different conference beams of Students First, Rise, Connect and Impact.

Throughout this year, the ASUN will feature student-athletes from each institution that epitomize the conference's beam of Connect as they have devoted time to community service efforts on their campuses or local communities.

Each video feature highlights different initiatives on the nine league campuses in which student-athletes and staff have worked to Connect with their community. 

For over 10 years, NJIT has held an Education Day in conjunction with a basketball contest as local Newark elementary students attended a game.

The local students also take time during the day to tour the campus guided by NJIT student-athletes and are given the opportunity to interact with student-athletes from all sports.

This year, NJIT hosted the event at a Men's Basketball game as the Highlanders took on Lipscomb for Education Day and came away with an 18-point victory in front of 2,000 screaming students.
