NJIT Tops NJBIZ Reader Ranking for Fourth Consecutive Year
New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) has been named a top company in NJBIZ Magazine’s annual reader ranking surveys in both the Life Sciences and Business Incubator categories.
The annual ranking by the business journal surveys its readership to nominate and vote for companies in over 50 different categories that include banking and finance, health care and pharmaceuticals, and corporate philanthropy.
In the Life Sciences category, NJIT’s prolific research and development in the cross-disciplinary field, with a particular focus on biotechnology, biosensors and medical devices and nanotechnology, has led to multi-million dollar National Institutes of Health grants and state-of-the-art research projects.
Bridging the Life Sciences and Business Incubator categories is New Jersey Innovation Institute, an NJIT corporation. Across six divisions, NJII combines the vast resources of NJIT, strong and far-reaching industry and government relationships, and proven methods for building industry centric ecosystems to help drive innovation and impactful solutions. Recently, NJII launched a Digital Capability Center in partnership with McKinsey & Company to advance operations and manufacturing excellence in cell and gene therapy. The center is managed by Biocentriq and housed on NJIT’s campus.
Winning in this year’s Business Incubator category, NJIT continues to offer impactful programs for business and entrepreneurship, and is the only New Jersey university in Princeton Review’s top 50 schools for entrepreneurship studies. VentureLink@NJIT is New Jersey’s largest startup incubator, with more than 55 established business and offers expert programming, coaching, and connections; NJIT has committed $6.75 million to help launch Highlander-owned businesses, the university’s first-ever direct venture capital effort; and NJIT is launching a new entrepreneurship and innovation center thanks to the Paul V.
