Veterans Day Ceremony: Transitioning Military Leadership to Campus & Civilian-World Success While Employing Self-Care Strategies — Office of Student Life
Many think higher education is strictly to gain a certification or degree, but for those who served in the military, higher education is a prime opportunity to transition your military leadership skill. On Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2:30–4 p.m., this presentation is focused on maximizing the invaluable leadership that all student veterans have, translating that into success as a student leader on campus, and maximizing the leadership potential of every student while avoiding burnout/depression/collapses. Author and USMC veteran Chris Molina will give you the tools for conquering the critical transition points in every student veteran's journey from service member to scholar to leader. Environmental Site Work in Lot 7 — Environmental Health and Safety
Beginning Monday, Nov. 16, environmental contractors will install a sub-surface equipment vault, associated with an existing environmental monitoring well, located in parking lot 7. Project preparation will begin with a utility markout Friday, Nov. 13. Construction will begin the morning of Monday Nov. 16 and continue until the end of the day Wednesday, Nov. 18. During the three days of construction there will be a reduction in the number of available parking spots in lot 7 as well as an alternate traffic flow pattern required within the lot.
