Deek cited Sandell's leadership at American University, where she led teams that updated infrastructure systems; implemented software for student recruitment, success and advancement; ensured collaboration from campus stakeholders throughout information technology projects and partnered with faculty on curricular improvements.
"Kamalika has built technology organizations ground-up, led divisions through multiple rounds of strategy and modernization, managed distributed teams, transformed practices incorporating agile, and established a culture of learning where innovation is an operating norm. Enterprising, analytical, and organized, Kamalika is recognized for her ability to meld diverse perspectives into a cohesive strategy that is ambitious, transformative, sensible and fiscal savvy," Deek stated.
