Miguel Rodrigues aka Kaliptus Published in Collaborations - Vol.1 by APEX Collective
The book, Collaborations Vol. 1, by APEX Collective, includes works of art, particularly painting collaborations, created from 2014-2020 by various artists that were exhibited in a multitude of art galleries, including the Ryan Joseph Gallery in Denver, Knew Conscious Gallery also in Denver, Alex Grey's Chapel of Sacred Mirrors in New York, the Philadelphia VisionaryArts Gallery and many more.
“I'm proud of the quality of aesthetics in these diverse painted works which though they appear to be digital are mostly made with acrylic paint and sometimes oil, airbrush, aerosol and other media. I feel like a strong layout, composition and design has been pushed in all of the works in this collaborative book and I'm just really happy with this release,” said Rodrigues.
The style of works pertains to visionary and futuristic aesthetics, borrowing some inspiration from sci-fi genres and combining it with computer inspired painting techniques that often utilize saturated color palettes, strong perspectives and mind warping ideas. APEX Collective is one of the collectives out there that pushes this new range of styles that has been growing and transforming over the last few years. APEX Collective has also teamed up with Threyda and they now have their own art gallery space in Colorado as well.
Some of these paintings were created during several art festival tours mostly in the US during the performances of musicians like Tipper, Shpongle, Blue Tech and others. The artwork has generated hype and I've acquired a strong following on social media as a result. Many of these paintings are commercially successful, have been sold, gone up in value slowly and resold.
