NJIT to Confer 3,250 Degrees at 103rd Commencement Exercises May 21 and May 23

WHAT: New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) will award 3,250 baccalaureate, master’s and doctoral degrees at the 103rd Commencement exercises. The university also will confer honorary degrees upon three individuals on May 21, 2019 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
WHEN:
- Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at 8:40 a.m.(baccalaureate degrees)
- Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 9:40 a.m. (doctoral and master’s degrees from the College of Architecture and Design, College of Science and Liberal Arts, Martin Tuchman School of Management, and Ying Wu College of Computing)
- Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 3:40 p.m. (doctoral and master’s degrees from Newark College of Engineering).

WHO:
- NJIT President Joel S. Bloom will preside over the three ceremonies.
- Commencement Address and Honorary Degrees: New Jersey Governor Philip A. Murphy will deliver the 2019 Commencement address and receive an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters. Sandra A. Carter, Vice President of Windows and Enterprise Workloads at Amazon Web Services, and Clifford M. Samuel, Senior Vice President of Access Operations & Emerging Markets at Gilead Sciences, will each receive an honorary Doctor of Science.
- Student Speakers: Kelvin Siebeng (May 21), Audrey Biondi (May 23 at 9:40 a.m.), and Anushreya Ghosh (May 23 at 3:40 p.m.) will give remarks on behalf of the student body.
