Max is a legacy. His father, Tom, earned an MBA in management information systems from the Martin Tuchman School of Management in 2008. “I remember watching him receive his degree and I knew that I would want to be up on that stage one day,” he said. “I have been interested in the school ever since.”
Finance and criminal law were his favorite subjects in high school. Outside class, he helped his mom with community work, such as fundraising for sports or leading a women’s club. “From a young age, I would follow her to these things and help take some of the burden off of her shoulders,” he said.
At NJIT, he looks forward to Professor Salmeron’s management class. “She seems to be very knowledgeable and has real-life business experience,” he explained.
He likes to stay active. “I love working out, rock climbing, ultimate frisbee, video games and hanging with my friends,” he said. “These things allow me to always have something going on. And I love picking up new things like spikeball, which I’ve learned to play.”
Ultimately, Max dreams of owning a business. Or, as he described it, “something that I could say I created.” Big picture, though, he wants to “leave a legacy behind in whatever I do.”
