Interior/Digital Design Students Team Up on Coffee Shop Prototype
The team of interior and digital design students who collaborated with students in the Tuchman school of management on the COCO Coffee Shop include Sandy Ghattas, Claritza Guerrero, Ahn Ly, Rua Elmosallamy, and Suzanne Hlinka.
"Our values are driven by the fact that both ends of the NJIT spectrum came together to collaborate on this coffee shop project. There is a huge sense of pride amongst all of those who collaborated, but it’s extremely more sentimental to us design students. Not many get this amazing opportunity to collaborate with NJIT’s School of Management students, and more excitingly, have their design come to life. It is like we lived with this 3D Revit model of the Coffee Container design for weeks and weeks and we hope it will be built! No matter how attached we are to a project, we end up accepting the fact that it will remain just a thought, maybe a clever idea… not a real, built product of our ideas, and this is what’s special about our COCO. Our passion is strong for design, inspiration and for our love and appreciation for a good cup of coffee, and I am super thrilled that I got to lead and be a part of this amazing prototype proposal for our NJIT Campus! " Sandy Ghattas, interior design.
