Happy Pi(e) Day, Highlanders!

It’s no secret that citizens in Northern New Jersey like to debate over where the best slice is -- and no NJIT student is hiding the fact that they enjoy a nice slice to break up their study sessions. We’ve asked a handful of NJIT students to tell us where their favorite pizza places were in Newark or near campus.

Here’s a list of places around campus to pick up your favorite slice:

Giovanni Pizza Pasta & Grill: 191 Central Avenue, Newark NJ 07102

Giovanni is located directly across the street on Central Avenue. It’s convenient, delicious and offers more than just pizza.

Forte: NJIT’s Campus Center, 150 Bleeker St, Newark, NJ 07103

Located in the heart of campus, you can never go wrong with Forte! Order a whole pie or just get a slice to go for lunch.

Robert’s: 63 New St, Newark, NJ 07102

Robert’s is located just a couple of blocks down from campus, but worth the few minute walk! Whether you're stopping by for a study break or ordering for your club meeting, you’ll be able to have some great tasting pizza.

Blaze Pizza: 691 Broad St, Newark, NJ 07102

Quick and delicious pizza that you can craft for yourself. The cook time is always the same at Blaze at 90 seconds, so no matter what you get, you know you’ll be enjoying the pie soon.

Queen Pizza: 122 Halsey St, Newark, NJ 07102

Queen Pizza is a great place to grab a quick lunch when you are in downtown Newark. The pizza is wonderful if you’re just stopping by for a slice, but they also offer a variety of sandwiches and salads as well.

Dickie Dee’s: 380 Bloomfield Ave, Newark, NJ 07107

Dickie Dee’s is a classic Italian pizzeria. Order a 16” pizza for a great price, or order another classic menu item - an italian hot dog with sauerkraut, potatoes and peppers on italian bread!

Tony’s Pizza: 59 Pacific St, Newark, NJ 07105

Looking for a place to get some authentic jersey style pizza? Tony’s pizza offers large slices, specialty pies and delivery!
