Governor Phil Murphy visited NJIT’s campus today to meet with a federal delegation of 11 House and Senate representatives. Topics of discussion included the Affordable Care Act, the gateway tunnel project, lead and water infrastructure, and the importance of military installations.

Murphy described the meeting as “a very fruitful discussion” and a “regular event that New Jersey will (help assure) … New Jersey gets its rightful share at the federal level.”

In his remarks, Senator Cory Booker said that enrollment in the Affordable Care Act was low and stressed the importance of enrolling for health insurance within the next five days to avoid driving up pricing.
