Free Subscriptions to Barron's for NJIT Students, Spots Are Limited
NJIT students can now access a free digital subscription to the Barron’s in Education Program from Dow Jones. The online offering provides entry to Barron’s, which includes its renowned financial portal and magazine, experiential learning and networking opportunities, and more.
Students signing up for the program will benefit from constructive connections to the Barron’s community, as well as award-winning content and columns such as “Up And Down Wall Street,” “Streetwise” and “Tech Trader,” among others. They will also be able to attend webinars that focus on topics and trends in business and finance, and feature Q&A sessions with market experts and Barron’s editors.
The two-year subscription was gifted to Martin Tuchman School of Management (MTSM) by Jordan Hu M.S. ’89, a Ying Wu College of Computing alumnus and university trustee. Hu is the founder and CEO of RiskVal, a “leading service provider of financial pre-trade and risk management solutions worldwide.”
“I am honored to introduce the Dow Jones Barron’s Education Program to NJIT’s Martin Tuchman School of Management. It enables our students to have direct access to the latest developments in financial investment and to business management news and events, which will serve to narrow the gap for their future career transitions,” Hu remarked. “I look forward to the success of the NJIT-Barron’s cooperation.”
The goals of Hu’s gift are “to spur financial education, learn from investing’s best minds and foster professional growth,” noted Oya Tukel, MTSM dean. “Our students will have access to the same real-time content and magazine that provide perspectives, insights and analysis utilized by the most successful business professionals.”
Indeed, Barron’s has been a valued source to C-suite executives, financial professionals, academics, government officials and entrepreneurs for more than a century. The university is one of 80 schools nationwide to avail itself of this source.
The Barron’s subscription is open to 500 students. Those who are interested should register here, using their NJIT email and UCID.
