This fall, NJIT’s Ying Wu College of Computing (YWCC) welcomed two new department chairs: Frank Biocca, chair of the informatics department, and Baruch Schieber, chair of the computer science department.

Researchers Create AI Project on Display at 4th Istanbul Design Biennial
How well do you know your whereabouts? Better yet, how does one get acquainted with a new location when traveling or relocating?
A team of researchers at NJIT has created a place-based artificial intelligence project that helps denizens expand their knowledge of the city of Istanbul.

The MIXRLab is Pushing the Boundaries of Game Design and Simulation
The MIXRLab in the Ying Wu College of Computing (YWCC) has officially opened.
The unique facility is designed for social interaction, application development and state of the art research. With an academic theme on game design and simulation, courses that will utilize the lab focus on virtual, augmented and mixed reality, 2D and 3D app development and game design.

Agrim Sachdeva ’18 received a master’s degree in information systems from NJIT this spring, but he isn’t making a big deal about it. The Spring 2018 Ying Wu College of Computing (YWCC) Capstone and Real World Connections (RWC) Showcase will take place Wednesday, May 2, in the Campus Center Ballroom 2-5 p.m.
The biannual showcase will feature the work of 27 YWCC capstone industry teams and 16 entrepreneurship teams made up of NJIT students, demonstrating their accomplishments working on projects for leading industry organizations like UPS, ManufactureNJ and the New Jersey judiciary system.
