Welcome Week Kicks Off Sept. 3 With Pancakes, Open Mic Night and More
After a restful summer break, students new to and returning to New Jersey Institute of Technology are encouraged to take part in Welcome Week during their first week of school. The events are open to all students and there is no registration necessary. Here are a few events to look forward to:
Pancakes with the President — Tuesday, Sept. 3, 8-10 a.m., Campus Center West Plaza
Come early and grab a plate for this yearly tradition! Students will have the opportunity to meet NJIT President Joel S. Bloom as well as faculty and staff members of NJIT as they serve up pancakes, coffee and juice to kick off the new academic year.
Welcome Back from Student Life – Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2–4 p.m., Campus Center East Plaza
Stop by for snacks and hear about fun events happening this fall. Whether you have questions about campus engagement, student leadership opportunities or even Homecoming, the Office of Student Life can help you.
Student Involvement Fair Hosted by Student Life – Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2:30–4 p.m., Campus Center East Plaza
Students will flood the Campus Center plaza to learn about all of the different organizations and clubs NJIT has to offer. With 120+ clubs and 23+ sororities and fraternities, there is something for everyone.
Open Mic Night Hosted by Society of Musical Arts – Thursday, Sept. 5, 7–10 p.m., Highlander Pub
Come sing some karaoke, perform your instrument or just enjoy the show!
