Vitali Earns Bronze Medal at 2025 Coach Nikki Franke Open
Freshman Asia Vitali earned a third-place finish in the women's epee at the 2025 Coach Nikki Franke Open hosted by Temple Saturday afternoon.
Vitali from Forli, Italy, was the top finisher on the day for the Highlanders, placing third in the women's epee competition in her collegiate debut. Also competing in the epee competition was Megan Hillyer (64th).
Sophomore Stella Frias led the women's foil, placing 30th while freshman Teagan Lowrie finished 67th.
Freshman Dila Erdogan placed 22nd in the women's sabre competition followed by Kaydine Gonzalez (52nd), Randa Shalabi (71st) and Zoey Wen (75th).
The Highlanders will return to action at the two-day Invitational at Drew University Nov. 1-2.
