Senior Averaged 24.5 ppg in a Pair of NJIT Wins Last Week
Miles Coleman, a senior on the NJIT men's basketball team, was named America East Conference Player of the Week, it was announced on Monday.
Coleman earned the honor for the second-straight week after he helped lead the Highlanders to a pair of America East road wins at UMass Lowell and Binghamton. NJIT is the lone 3-0 team in the America East Conference standings.
A West Palm Beach, FL, native, Coleman averaged 24.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg, and 3.5 apg in the victories. He set a new career-high with 30 points to go along with nine rebounds in Thursday's 77-72 victory at UMass Lowell and followed it up with a 19 point, five rebound performance in Saturday's 67-56 win at Binghamton.
Coleman ranks second on the team and third in the conference in scoring, averaging 16.8 ppg. He is also the team's top rebounder and sixth in the America East in that category, pulling down 6.5 rpg this season.
NJIT returns to action on Wednesday when it hosts UMBC in Newark. Tip-off is slated for 7 p.m. and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
