NJIT Earns 2021 Award for Excellence from Business Association
New Jersey Institute of Technology has been named Member of the Year by the New Jersey Business and Industry Association (NJBIA) in its New Jersey Business magazine.
The award recognizes efforts to improve the state’s business climate.
Specifically, NJIT was honored for preparing students to “excel in the fields and jobs that are in high demand and are at the core of today’s technology-driven economy,” being a “catalyst for economic growth” and partnering with industry via its New Jersey Innovation Institute, VentureLink startup incubator and Makerspace.
In addition, New Jersey Business noted that Times Higher Education ranks NJIT No. 2 in the U.S. for promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all and that university President Joel S. Bloom provides “valuable leadership and guidance” to NJBIA as a member of its Board of Trustees.
NJIT is among 20 honorees in NJBIA’s 2021 Awards for Excellence, which honor exceptional businesses and executives in five categories: Member of the Year, Executive of the Year, Outstanding Employer, Community Service and Excellence in Disability Inclusion.
