CSLA Virtual Awards Ceremony — College of Science and Liberal Arts
Please join us virtually Thursday, May 6 at 4 p.m. for the 2021 CSLA Awards Ceremony, during which we will recognize the remarkable accomplishments of our colleagues, students and alumni. This year’s guest speaker will be Dr. Holden Thorp, editor-in-chief of the Science family of journals. Dr. Thorp is also former chancellor of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and former provost of Washington University in St. Louis, in addition to being a prominent biochemist and accomplished musician. Leir Research Institute (LRI) Weekly Seminar Series — Martin Tuchman School of Management
From 1–2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5, the LRI will host a special session on the Python programming language. The session is open to students and faculty who are new or are interested in doing research with data online utilizing Python. The session will go over data scraping and basic text analysis, with the codes and results to be shown. To join, go to https://njit.webex.com/meet/zyan.
New Library Hours — Robert W. Van Houten Library
From now until Thursday, May 13, the Van Houten Library will be open until 2 a.m. Mondays-Thursdays. Regular hours will remain for Fridays (8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.), Saturdays (10 a.m.-6 p.m.), and Sundays (1 p.m.-9 p.m.).
