Director, School of Art + Design
Position Summary:
The Director of the School of Art + Design (A+D) is the administrative and academic leader of the School. The Director is simultaneously a member of the faculty and administration in the Hillier College of Architecture and Design (HCAD). The Director reports to the Dean of the College of Architecture and Design. The position of Director is open-ended/without-term and the Director serves at the discretion of the Dean subject to annual renewal and review. The Director has the dual role of representing the members of the Art + Design community to the Dean and HCAD administration and representing the administration to the School. The Director serves on the leadership team for Hillier College coordinating college-wide activities and operating procedures along with the Dean, Associate Dean(s), Director of the School of Architecture, and Director of Administration. The Director also represents the School to the overall NJIT community, the general public, and related professional societies relevant to the disciplines offered in the College. The Director administers the School and provides intellectual leadership. The Director has responsibility to uphold and enhance the reputation of the School and be an effective spokesperson within the respective professions as well as the public-at-large in addition to high schools and community colleges. The Director is the steward of the curriculum in consultation with faculty and is responsible for positioning the programs vis-à-vis peer and competitive institutions in an ever-changing professional landscape and within the context of a public research university.

Assistant/Associate Professor of Sustainable Design
Position Summary:
The J. Robert and Barbara A. Hillier College of Architecture and Design at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track or tenured appointment in Sustainable Design at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor. The appointment is within the School of Architecture at the Hillier College of Architecture and Design, with anticipated cross-disciplinary engagement with students in the School of Art + Design. The Hillier College at NJIT offers faculty and students exciting opportunities for teaching, research, and service. It has graduate and undergraduate programs in architecture, planning, interior, industrial, and digital design.
