The NJIT men's and women's track & field programs completed the final day of the ASUN Conference Outdoor Championships Saturday evening at the University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium.
The men's team closed the meet in 5th place, adding 43 points to their Day 1 total to finish with 55 total points. The Highlander women scored in four events on Saturday to end the meet with a sixth-place tally of ten points.
NJIT picked up four medals on the men's side Saturday, as Alex Ortega won the 400 meter hurdles; Pritinder Singh (2nd) and Connor Penrod (3rd) took two of three medals in the Decathlon, and Ryan Budhu grabbed bronze in the 800 meters. The quartet joined Naisem Chandler on the medal stand after his Friday silver in the Long Jump.
