George Lappin Award for Technical Programming Recipient

Professor Roman Voronov of the Otto H. York Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the New Jersey Institute of Technology has been selected to receive the 2026 George Lappin Award for Technical Programming from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). The award recognizes his leadership in organizing and improving the AIChE Faculty and Postdoctoral Candidate Poster Session, including development of the Faculty Candidate Resource Center and implementation of structural changes that increased fairness, visibility, and efficiency in matching early-career researchers with hiring departments. These efforts have strengthened one of the primary national venues where chemical engineering candidates connect with academic employers and have helped establish a model now influencing similar career-focused programming within AIChE.
