On behalf of the NJIT community, I write to wish you a happy and healthy Independence Day! This is a time to celebrate the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation. This is often done by gathering with family, friends and loved ones; taking trips to the shore or parks; attending parades and backyard barbecues; or watching firework displays. Whatever your plans are, I hope you have a joyous and relaxing day, and that you take a few moments to think of and thank those who have devoted their lives to serving and protecting the United States of America.
