Leaders of NJIT's New Jersey Innovation Institute Make Health Care Power Lists
Leaders of the New Jersey Innovation Institute, the corporation of New Jersey Institute of Technology that turns innovative research and ideas into businesses, are featured in NJBIZ’s 2024 health care power lists.
NJII Board of Directors member Debbie Hart made the top 10 list and NJII President Michael Johnson is in the top 50.
Hart is president and CEO of BioNJ and board chair of the N.J. Commission on Science, Innovation and Technology.
Johnson leads an organization whose biggest division is in health care, responsible for managing the New Jersey Health Information Network (NJHIN) on behalf of the N.J. Department of Health. NJHIN enables the electronic exchange of patient health information among trusted data sources across the state.
NJBIZ's annual lists recognize New Jersey’s most impactful leaders in the sector, including CEOs of hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and health care networks. Chief Editor Jeffrey Kanige described the honorees as “people who have gained public attention — and perhaps acclaim — for their professional accomplishments and public service.
"Each list identifies individuals who, through their efforts, are helping to make New Jersey a better place to live, work and do business.”
