Track and Field Picks Up Two Wins, Two Records At Rider Invitational

A pair of event wins and new school records highlighted the NJIT track and field teams' trip to to Central Jersey tor Saturday's Rider University Invitational.
HIGHLANDER VICTORIES
Sydne Nance took first in the 200 meters, leading the field with a time of 25.35.
Daniella Vito once again shined in the Javelin, winning with a toss of 39.98m / 131-2.00.
RECORDS SET
Three different Highlander women surpassed the program's long jump record and finished in consecutive positions in the process. Nia Holloway (5th) finished the event with the new record of 5.42m / 17-9.50 while Kendall Caballero (6th) logged a 5.41m / 17-9.00 and McKinleigh Mattie (7th) posted 5.33m / 17-6.00. All three bested the previous mark of 5.22m / 17-1.50 by Cristina DeCristofaro from 2014.
Mattie also extended her own record in the triple jump, pushing it from the 10.90m / 35.9.25 she posted in March at the Colonial Relays to 10.99m / 36-0.75 Saturday (8th).
