NJIT has been ranked among only four universities in New Jersey to make U.S. News and World Report’s 2019 Best Global Universities list, joining Princeton, Rutgers-New Brunswick and Rutgers-Newark Universities.
While U.S. News’ Best Colleges list looks at U.S.-based undergraduate institutions and focuses on overall quality and student outcomes, the publication’s Best Global Universities ranking considers criteria with a greater emphasis on international research. NJIT, cited among the 1,250 top global universities, is also one of the top U.S. polytechnic public universities in research expenditures, exceeding $170 million.
Of the 75 countries represented on the Best Global Universities list, the U.S. has 242 schools that made the list.
