Leir Research Institute (LRI) Weekly Seminar Series — Martin Tuchman School of Management
In next week’s virtual seminar at 1–2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, the LRI hosts a research presentation paper discussion of “Medical Staff Assignment and Patient Scheduling Optimization Model.” The paper — co-authored by Jen-Yi (Jay) Chen, associate professor at Cleveland State University’s Monte Ahuja College of Business and Oya Tukel, dean of NJIT’s Martin Tuchman School of Management — proposes a mixed-integer programming model that helps assign staff members who each may concurrently serve multiple patients of different acuity levels. To join, go to https://njit.webex.com/meet/rroy. Upcoming seminars can be found at https://centers.njit.edu/leir/Fall-2020-and-Spring-2021-Seminars/.
