Leir Research Institute (LRI) Weekly Seminar Series — Martin Tuchman School of Management
In this week’s virtual seminar at 1–2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7, the LRI hosts a research presentation paper discussion of “Medical Staff Assignment and Patient Scheduling Optimization Model.” The paper — co-authored by Jen-Yi (Jay) Chen, associate professor at Cleveland State University’s Monte Ahuja College of Business and Oya Tukel, dean of NJIT’s Martin Tuchman School of Management — proposes a mixed-integer programming model that helps assign staff members who each may concurrently serve multiple patients of different acuity levels. Lecture Series on “Responsibility” — Hillier College of Architecture and Design
The Hillier College Lecture series entitled “Responsibility” inquires into the responsibility of architects and designers in the face of social challenges is ongoing on Mondays with a special event on Oct. 8 with Bryan Lee, social justice advocate and founder of Colloqate.
