NJIT a 'Best Global University' in US News & World Report Ranking
New Jersey Institute of Technology is among the Best Global Universities identified by U.S. News and World Report in its eighth edition of the annual ranking.
Only 271 U.S. universities made the 2022 list, which spans 91 countries in six continents. Globally, NJIT ranked in the top half of some 1,750 colleges. Just seven New Jersey schools earned the recognition, which stems from research output and reputation.
“NJIT is a leading polytechnic university that is both a research powerhouse and has excelled in the preparation of its students for careers in what is unquestionably a STEM-driven economy,” said NJIT President Joel S. Bloom. “This ranking and others, including our status as a top 50 public university nationally and the #1 university in the U.S. for student upward economic mobility, speak to the value of an NJIT education and the global impact of our university.”
By subject matter among all universities on a broader global list of 15,650, NJIT placed #91 in electrical and electronic engineering, #171 in computer science and #276 in engineering. For a closer look at NJIT’s ranking, please go here.
