NJIT Appoints Vice President of Human Resources

Dear Highlanders,
I am pleased to announce that William Brady will become NJIT’s new vice president of human resources on October 1, 2024. He brings more than two decades of experience in HR leadership, strategic planning and workforce development to NJIT.
Currently serving as the chief human resources officer at Boise State University and having previously held that same role at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Bill has enjoyed a distinguished career in human resources. In these roles, he has modernized HR offices to position them as strategic, data-informed partners to campus. He has experience making significant improvements in talent acquisition, employee engagement, training and development, compensation and data analytics. At NJIT, he will oversee talent acquisition, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, implementing innovative HR strategies to enhance workforce engagement and performance, which are critical to our Strategic Plan 2030 to become a nexus of innovation that is a physical and intellectual focal point for ideas, actions, and people focused on innovation, including researchers, learners, entrepreneurs, and partners from government, industry, and the community. Additionally, he will ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws and regulations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in HR service delivery. Bill will serve as a key advisor to the university’s leadership on HR policies and initiatives.
Bill holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Washington College. His academic background and professional experience position him well to lead NJIT’s Department of Human Resources into the future.
Please join me in welcoming Bill to NJIT and supporting his work once he arrives in October.
I also would like to take this opportunity to thank the search committee, co-chaired by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs John Pelesko and Vice President for Student Affairs and Dean of Students Marybeth Boger, as well as NJIT’s Interim Vice President for Human Resources Joe Wilson for his willingness to assume the interim role for the last 19 months and for his dedicated and exceptional service during that time. They all deserve our thanks and appreciation.
Sincerely,
Teik C. Lim
NJIT President
