NJIT was picked to finish second in the 2023 EIVA Preseason Coaches Poll the league office announced on Tuesday.

The Highlanders, which finished the 2022 season with a 17-11 overall mark, made an appearance in the 2022 EIVA finals for the third time in program history. The 17 wins was the second most wins since the 2007 season.

Penn State was the choice of the EIVA's coaches to be the conference favorite as the 2023 season nears.

In the annual preseason poll of the conference's head coaches, the Nittany Lions drew first-place votes from five of the EIVA's six leaders to easily earn the top spot.

In addition to the poll, the EIVA's head coaches named two student-athletes from their programs as Players to Watch for the 2023 season.
