Matthew Morena Named To America East XC All-Academic Team

NJIT Men's Cross Country placed a student-athlete on the America East All-Academic Team for the third season in a row after Matthew Morena was named to the team by the conference. 

Morena, a native of Rockaway, is a six-time Dean's List honoree and currently holds a 3.809 grade point average while pursuing a degree in Computer Science. On the course, Morena was NJIT's top performer in over half of the Highlanders' meets this year (4 of 7) and set college PRs in the 8K (25:37.0 at Highlander Challenge, 10/8/22, 3rd overall) and 6K (19:27.2 at Lehigh, 9/2/22)

Morena joins Brian McGlew (2020, 2021) and Gavin Camby (2020) as Highlanders to earn Cross Country All-Academic honors since NJIT joined the America East in 2020.
