Human Resources Leadership Transition
Dear Highlanders,
I write today to inform you of a transition within the Office of Human Resources. Vice President Dale McLeod will be leaving NJIT as of February 24, 2023 to become Chief People Officer at Blue Meridian Partners, a pioneering and rapidly growing philanthropic organization with more than $3 billion in assets that identifies and funds scalable solutions to the problems that limit economic and social mobility for America’s young people and families in poverty.
Dale was drawn to this opportunity because of this organization’s mission, which aligns closely with what we do at NJIT, and the array of programs through which he can pursue that mission at a rapidly growing organization.
In our discussions, Dale explained to me that he has greatly appreciated and enjoyed his time at NJIT. He said, “I am most proud of my time getting to know and collaborating with such dynamic faculty and staff, especially the HR team. From improving vision care benefits, to launching an inaugural HR business partner model and talent acquisition function, to improving diversity in recent hiring, and launching new learning and professional development resources, we have collectively worked towards becoming a best place to work. I am so proud to have had the opportunity to lead and work with such a talented and exceptional team. This new opportunity allows me to continue contributing toward socio-economic mobility on an even larger scale.”
Going forward, Joe Wilson, NJIT’s associate vice president for talent management, will assume the role of interim vice president for human resources. In addition, Lauren Rubitz, director for talent acquisition, will assume the role of interim associate vice president for talent management. I would like to thank Joe and Lauren for assuming these additional responsibilities. Joe, Lauren, and others have been integrally involved in the critical initiatives that Dale led, so we will have uninterrupted continuity related to those efforts. Once a search for a permanent vice president for human resources is launched, details will be shared with the campus community.
Sincerely,
Teik C. Lim
NJIT President
