Great Colleges to Work For Survey Bulletin from Dr. Bloom
Dear Colleagues,
I am very pleased to announce that NJIT will participate in the 2020 Great Colleges to Work For Program. The Great Colleges to Work For Program provides senior-level administrators as well as academic leaders with insights regarding the quality of the workplace experience and the competitiveness of an institution’s policies and benefits.
We believe employee satisfaction is important to NJIT’s future growth and success, so employee satisfaction will be a goal and a Key Performance Indicator (KPI) in our new strategic plan, Building on a Strong Foundation--NJIT 2025. The KPI will be based on the results from this year’s and future biannual surveys. As such, it is imperative that all of us participate in the survey and contribute our feedback.
NJIT faculty and staff will be invited to complete the ModernThink Higher Education Insight Survey©. With hundreds of unique institutions participating in this survey every year, ModernThink has accumulated an expansive database of higher education benchmarking statistics and best practices. By working with ModernThink, NJIT will benefit from a nationally-normed survey instrument, industry-specific benchmarking data, and enhanced survey results and analysis.
By having ModernThink, a third-party provider, facilitate the survey process, your responses will be completely anonymous and confidential. Further, ModernThink will not report back results for questions that have less than five (5) respondents.
You may have completed the Great Colleges survey in 2018, when we last distributed to all NJIT faculty and staff. Those survey results and subsequent actions were shared throughout the NJIT community in a variety of venues by Bob Lazer, director of organization performance excellence. Feel free to contact Bob regarding these results and the actions NJIT has taken since your feedback was provided.
In the spirit of continuous improvement, I encourage you to complete the survey and contribute your feedback related to how NJIT can become an even better place to work while helping us gain recognition as a Great College to Work For.
The survey period for the 2020 Great Colleges to Work For Program will run from March 9, 2020 through April 3, 2020.
Thank you.
Joel S. Bloom, President
