El Fallaki and Mekrami Set School Records in 178-113 Win Over Rider

Adam Mekrami broke his own 1,000 free school record with a time of 9:29.13, while Ilias El Fallaki set a new program record in the 500 free with a personal-best time of 4:26.59 in NJIT's (2-4) 178-113 victory over Rider (1-5) on Saturday at the Joel and Diane Bloom Wellness and Events Center (BWEC).
El Fallaki also won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:39.28.
Pawel Drzymala won the 200 butterfly with a personal-best time of 1:49.85, which ranks fourth in the America East.
Tanish Chhabra won the 100 freestyle with a time of 47.08. Sam Deemer won the 200 back with a time of 1:52.32.
Aiden Ban swept the diving events for the third time this season, recording a 1-meter dive score of 304.90 and a 3-meter dive score of 323.10.
Borys Endle won the 200 breast with a time of 2:05.73. Drzymala claimed his second victory of the meet with a time of 1:57.99 in the 200 IM.
