Dr. Roman Voronov, Associate Professor in NJIT’s Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, has received a prestigious NIH STTR grant totaling $295,038 to advance the commercialization of innovative microfluidic cell culturing technology.
Dr. Voronov's startup, AltVIVO, Inc., aims to revolutionize biomedical research by automating precise, non-destructive manipulation and analysis of cell cultures. This technology, designed to support complex cell environments and real-time biological assessments, represents a significant advancement over traditional methods—reducing the need for animal testing and accelerating therapeutic development.
