Ladehoff Named All-America Second Team
Cade Ladehoff was named to the 2024 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division I Freshman All-American Team the organization announced on Monday.
Ladehoff, the 2024 America East Rookie of the Year, was selected to the NCBWA Freshman Second Team All-America, ranking sixth among all freshmen with 60 RBI this year while batting .324.
He led the team with 14 home runs, which was tied for fourth in the America East and 17 doubles, the fourth-most in the America East. He was named America East Rookie of the Week on 3/5 after hitting three HR and knocking in nine RBI in four-game series at VMI.
Ladehoff, from Bradenton, FL, combined for three home runs and seven hits over four games at the 2024 America East Tournament.
He hit safely in 11-straight games midway through the season, 16 games with at least two RBI, including a five-RBI game at VMI (3/3) and 26 multi-hit games, including eight three-hit contests and a four-hit game vs. UMBC (5/23).
The 2024 NCBWA Freshman All-American Team features players from 32 different schools and 16 different conferences.
The Freshman All-American team is voted upon by the membership of the NCBWA. The 2024 NCBWA National Freshman Player of the Year and National Freshman Pitcher of the Year will be announced on Tuesday, June 11.
