Ballen Earns Medalist Honors at Penn Relays to Highlight the Weekend

Jason Ballen earned medalist honors at the Penn Relays at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, finishing fifth in the javelin with a throw of 59.24m. It marks the second straight season with a Penn Relays medalist for the Highlanders. NJIT also competed at the TCNJ Lions Invitational.
The Highlanders recorded four personal-bests and six top five marks in program history over the weekend.
Raegan Bossard recorded a season-best triple jump of 11.78m at the Penn Relays, which is the second-best in program history and ranks fourth in the America East.
Zaidah Lightener finished sixth in the long jump, jumping 5.77m at the Penn Relays.
Sanai Jenkins ran a season-best 400m hurdles time of 1:03.28 to finish fourth at the TCNJ Lions Invitational, ranking fifth in the America East.
